Getting To Hermosa Beach
Hermosa Beach is on the beach, 5 miles south of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and is easily reached by car, bicycle or metro.
By Car
The closest freeway is the San Diego Freeway (405). From the north, we recommend the Rosecrans Ave. West Exit (Exit 43B) then go south on Aviation Blvd until it ends at Pacific Coast Highway, turn right and then a quick left onto Pier Avenue. From the south, take Artesia Blvd. (Exit 40), go west to Pacific Coast Highway, north to Pier Avenue, then turn left.
You can also reach Hermosa Beach from Sepulveda/Pacific Coast Highway, or Vista Del Mar/Highland Ave along the coast.
There are 19 city parking lots, including the Municipal Parking Structure at Hermosa Avenue and 13th St. Here is a map of locations. There is plenty of street parking available, parking meters near the beach cost $1~1.25/hr. and operate from 10am-10pm. There is free parking available on Valley Drive between Pier Avenue and 8th St. Parking does get scarce on warm weekends, so get here early.
